The Utah Centennial County History Series is comprised of twenty-nine volumes which were complied as part of Utah’s celebration in 1996 of the 100th anniversary of statehood. The Utah State Legislature provided funding for the research, writing, publication, and distribution of copies to every public library and public school in the state. The project was administered by the Utah Division of State History in cooperation with each county commission. The county commissions selected the author or authors for their volume and directed the sale of individual volumes within their county.
The Utah Division of State History has entered into a partnership with the J. Willard Marriott Library at the University of Utah to expand distribution of the series. This edition contains the original text and photographs. The cover matches as closely as possible the design of the original hardcover.
